Stomach Reflux Facts

When it comes to stomach reflux, there are many facts and many myths. We are going to go over some of these so that you can have a better understanding of acid reflux, and how to stop it.
One of the most prominent myths is that eating spicy foods causes heartburn, and drinking milk stops it. Researchers from Stanford University actually found that drinking milk will not relieve heartburn, and eating spicy foods will not cause it. The good news is that you can keep eating spicy foods if they are something you love. The bad news is that you cannot reach for a glass of milk and hope to get rid of stomach reflux symptoms.
Another myth is that taking antacids at the first sign of heartburn will cure it. This is definitely a myth! Taking an antacid might make you a little more comfortable now but it is not doing anything to cure reflux. If anything, it can actually make it worse.

Laugh all you want but I can’t help it! I’m addicted to finding out as much as I can on stomach reflux.
Call me crazy but I still can’t stop looking up articles on causes of reflux. Then again, you know how hung up I am on causes of reflux.
